Thirty years ago, we documented the Mammilla neighborhood, which is at the foot of Jaffa Gate. At that time it seemed that the neighborhood was at the brink of death, but now it is waking up to a new life. The connection between the lively and new city of Jerusalem, to the Old City is becoming a reality. On the face of things, there is still a nostalgia for the old beloved neighborhood. There is a longing for tradition, to the warmth of family and above all, to the childhood that remains between the old stones.
