First and second seasons: Bat Yam-New York A dramatic series that tell the story of the Zlayit family headed by Shlomo and Dina, who are a traditional couple for Iraqi origin. They have to get used to the less reserved way of life their five children lead. David still lives at home, Ziva is in no rush to get married, Moshe lives in Los Angeles and works in the porn industry, Miri lives in New York and is dating a non-Jew. They also have a younger son.
Season three, "The Tales of David": The continuation of Bat Yam-New York focuses on one of the family members, this time David the oldest son. He is a failing wedding photographer who is divorced with a young son. He is the black sheep of the family. Finally he decides to move out of his parents’ home in an attempt to create an independent life. He moves into a rental apartment with Ozer, who is an older widowed relative. The series follows David’s daily life in his new abode, his small adventures and his desperate search for love and desire to be “someone”.
